Business Immigrants |
| If you plan to invest in Canada or start a business
in Canada, you can apply under the business class program of immigration.
To qualify for the Business Immigration Program, you need to have
some business experience and you must prove you can economically
establish yourself in Canada.

There are three classes of business immigrants:
Entrepreneurs
Under the Entrepreneur Program, you must be have previous
business experience and when you move to Canada, you will
need to own and actively manage a business that contributes
to the Canadian economy and creates jobs in Canada.
A minimum net worth of CAN $300,000 is required which does
not have to be in form of cash. You will be subject
to certain conditions when you arrive in Canada. |
Investors
If you have previous business experience and a minimum net
worth of CAN $800,000, and if you agree to lend CAN $400,000
to the Government of Canada at 0% interest for five years,
you may qualify for an investor's visa. Your CAN $400,000
is placed with the Receiver General of Canada and the Government
will return your investment to you after five years.
You may borrow the CAN $400,000 from a Canadian bank and
invest that money with the Government of Canada but you
would need to pay the interest costs for the five years
(approximately C$ 120,000). We can arrange the C$
400,000 loan for you, if you have the C$ 120,000 plus other
required expenses. |
Self-employed
persons
If you have a minimum two years of work experience:
- self-employed in cultural activities or in athletics,
and
- participation at a world-class level in cultural activities
or athletics, or
- if you have farm management experience,
and you intend to establish a business in Canada that
will create employment for yourself, you may be eligible
to apply under the self-employed person class. |
